Pr\u00e1v\u011b na z\u00e1klad\u011b t\u011bchto bohulib\u00fdch pohnutek pr\u00fd mus\u00ed trestat kac\u00ed\u0159e rozhodn\u011b, nel\u00edtostn\u011b a nemilosrdn\u011b.  <\/p>\n<p> <!--more--> <\/p>\n<p> Tyto tresty v\u0161ak nejsou zlem, ale \u201esp\u00e1sn\u00fdm l\u00e9kem&quot;, balz\u00e1mem na du\u0161evn\u00ed r\u00e1ny \u2014 kac\u00ed\u0159sk\u00e9 n\u00e1zory ob\u017ealovan\u00fdch. Inkvizice, jak tvrdili teologov\u00e9, se nemstila, ale zachra\u0148ovala; netrestala, ale vybojov\u00e1vala na \u010f\u00e1blovi lidskou du\u0161i; nepron\u00e1sledovala, ale l\u00e9\u010dila du\u0161e pobloudil\u00fdch ove\u010dek c\u00edrkve. Inkvizice podle l\u00ed\u010den\u00ed teolog\u016f nen\u00ed ponurou mu\u010d\u00edrnou s katy a katovsk\u00fdmi n\u00e1stroji, ale jakousi dobro\u010dinnou instituc\u00ed, c\u00edrkevn\u00ed prvn\u00ed pomoc\u00ed, rychle zachra\u0148uj\u00edc\u00ed ka\u017ed\u00e9ho h\u0159\u00ed\u0161n\u00edka, kter\u00fd neuzn\u00e1v\u00e1 jedin\u011b spr\u00e1vnou v\u011brouku. \u201eTi, kdo se protivili jej\u00edmu blahod\u00e1rn\u00e9mu \u00fasil\u00ed,&quot; \u0159\u00edk\u00e1 Lea, \u201ebyli obvin\u011bni z nevd\u011b\u010dnosti a neposlu\u0161nosti a tuto temnou skvrnu nemohlo nic odstranit. Byli to otcovrahov\u00e9, nezasluhuj\u00edc\u00ed slitov\u00e1n\u00ed, a kdy\u017e je bi\u010dovali, prokazovali jim t\u00edm je\u0161t\u011b zvl\u00e1\u0161tn\u00ed milost.&quot; (27)<br \/> Rejst\u0159\u00edk katovsk\u00fdch n\u00e1stroj\u016f v mu\u010d\u00edme nebyl nijak rozs\u00e1hl\u00fd: kl\u00e1da, lavice, d\u016ftky.
