Zn\u00e1me velk\u00e1 pl\u00e1tna s t\u00e9maty z historie, fresky s bitevn\u00edmi sc\u00e9nami a triumfy \u010di malby oslavuj\u00edc\u00ed \u010diny panovn\u00edk\u016f a pape\u017e\u016f, ale p\u0159ed Muchou nikdo nevytvo\u0159il cyklus o spole\u010denstv\u00ed vz\u00e1jemn\u011b sp\u0159\u00edzn\u011bn\u00fdch n\u00e1rod\u016f, vid\u011bn\u00fd sou\u010dasn\u011b jako epos a baladu i jako m\u00fdtus o historii.<\/span>  <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">\u201eSlovansk\u00e1 epopej tvo\u0159\u00ed jak\u00fdsi prot\u011bj\u0161ek ke germ\u00e1nsk\u00e9 ope\u0159e Richarda Wagnera Prsten Nibelung\u016f,\u201c prohl\u00e1sil kdysi \u0159editel Kunsthalle v rakousk\u00e9 Krem\u017ei Wolfgang Denk, kter\u00fd o epopeji p\u0159ipravil v roce 1994 jednu z jej\u00edch nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00edch zahrani\u010dn\u00edch v\u00fdstav. <\/span> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">P\u0159edehrou k d\u00edlu se staly Muchovy mal\u00ed\u0159sk\u00e9 dekorace pavilonu Bosny a Hercegoviny pro Sv\u011btovou v\u00fdstavu v Pa\u0159\u00ed\u017ei v roce 1900, kter\u00e9 m\u011bly vyj\u00e1d\u0159it\u00a0 historickou identitu zem\u011b, kde k\u0159es\u0165an\u00e9 \u017eili po stalet\u00ed vedle muslim\u016f. Kv\u016fli inspiraci mal\u00ed\u0159 n\u011bkolikr\u00e1t zajel na jihov\u00fdchod Evropy. Zaj\u00edmaly ho legendy, zvyky, etika i lidov\u00e9 um\u011bn\u00ed. A poprv\u00e9 ho nadchla my\u0161lenka vyj\u00e1d\u0159en\u00ed d\u00e1vn\u00e9 sl\u00e1vy Slovan\u016f i jejich boje proti uja\u0159men\u00ed. <\/span> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><strong>Du\u0161e Slovan\u016f jako epos<\/strong><\/span>  <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Celou vizi projektu epopeje m\u011bl Mucha od po\u010d\u00e1tku v hlav\u011b, i kdy\u017e v\u00fdb\u011br n\u011bkter\u00fdch sc\u00e9n m\u011bnil. Cht\u011bl t\u0159eba ud\u011blat pl\u00e1tno s Prokopem Hol\u00fdm, ale z\u016fstalo jen u z\u00e1m\u011bru. Pro cyklus si nakonec vybral nejtypi\u010dt\u011bj\u0161\u00ed okam\u017eiky, kter\u00fdmi se Slovan\u00e9 zapsali do d\u011bjin Evropy od ran\u00e9ho st\u0159edov\u011bku a\u017e po 20. stolet\u00ed. Inspiroval se Palack\u00e9ho historick\u00fdm d\u00edlem a Jir\u00e1skov\u00fdmi rom\u00e1ny a mnoh\u00e9 faktick\u00e9 informace mu poskytl i francouzsk\u00fd historik Ernest Denis.<\/span>  <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Drastick\u00fdm sc\u00e9n\u00e1m se Mucha z\u00e1m\u011brn\u011b vyh\u00fdbal. Sv\u011bt vid\u011bl o\u010dima myslitele Petra Chel\u010dick\u00e9ho a vzal si za svou jeho z\u00e1sadu neodporovat zlu zlem. V\u00fdrazn\u011b ho ovlivnila tak\u00e9 Heglova p\u0159edstava o spletit\u00e9 cest\u011b n\u00e1rod\u016f ke svobod\u011b a bl\u00edzko m\u011bl i k Masarykov\u011b pojet\u00ed n\u00e1roda. Slovan\u00e9 byli zna\u010dn\u011b podce\u0148ov\u00e1ni, zejm\u00e9na N\u011bmci a Raku\u0161any. Proti tomu se cht\u011bl Mucha postavit. S\u00e1m o epopeji \u0159ekl:<\/span>  <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">\u201e\u00da\u010delem m\u00e9ho d\u00edla nikdy nebylo bo\u0159it, ale stav\u011bt, spojovat, nebo\u0165 n\u00e1s v\u0161echny mus\u00ed \u017eivit nad\u011bje, \u017ee cel\u00e9 lidstvo se sbl\u00ed\u017e\u00ed, a to t\u00edm sn\u00e1ze, \u010d\u00edm l\u00e9pe se pozn\u00e1 navz\u00e1jem.\u201c<\/span>  <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">V\u0161ech dvacet rozm\u011brn\u00fdch obraz\u016f, kter\u00e9 maloval na lodn\u00edch placht\u00e1ch dovezen\u00fdch z Holandska, vytvo\u0159il v ateli\u00e9ru vybudovan\u00e9m na z\u00e1mku ve Zbiroze, kter\u00fd si v roce 1910 pronajal od hrab\u011bte Colloreda-Mansfelda. <\/span> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Jeho pe\u010dlivost a preciznost p\u0159i n\u00e1ro\u010dn\u00e9m \u00fakolu byla a\u017e pov\u011bstn\u00e1. Dodnes o n\u00ed sv\u011bd\u010d\u00ed fotografie, kter\u00e9 slou\u017eily mal\u00ed\u0159i jako skici. Modely si mal\u00ed\u0159 naaran\u017eoval v dramatick\u00fdch p\u00f3z\u00e1ch a pak je vyfotil. Na sn\u00edmc\u00edch si pak ud\u011blal \u010dtvercovou s\u00ed\u0165, s jej\u00ed\u017e pomoc\u00ed si vybran\u00e9 postavy zv\u011bt\u0161oval pro vlastn\u00ed obrazy. Metoda to byla ve sv\u00e9 dob\u011b vlastn\u011b modern\u00ed a p\u0159i pr\u00e1ci uplatnil Mucha i bohat\u00e9 zku\u0161enosti ze sc\u00e9nografie.<\/span>  <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><strong>Projekt realizovan\u00fd za americk\u00e9 dolary<\/strong> <\/span> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Kv\u016fli epopeji Mucha hodn\u011b cestoval. Odjel do Ruska a v Moskv\u011b na Rud\u00e9m n\u00e1m\u011bst\u00ed si skicoval chr\u00e1m Vasilije Bla\u017een\u00e9ho. Vypravil se tak\u00e9 do kl\u00e1\u0161ter\u016f na ho\u0159e Athos a spole\u010dn\u011b s mnichy se \u00fa\u010dastnil pravoslavn\u00e9 liturgie. <\/span> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Pe\u010dliv\u011b studoval i ikony a dosp\u011bl k n\u00e1zoru, \u017ee v du\u0161i Slovan\u016f je hluboce zakotveno prastar\u00e9 byzantsk\u00e9 ch\u00e1p\u00e1n\u00ed symbol\u016f a \u017ee pr\u00e1v\u011b tento vzne\u0161en\u00fd zp\u016fsob my\u0161len\u00ed a uva\u017eov\u00e1n\u00ed, jak \u0159\u00edkal, od pov\u011br a\u017e po z\u00e1hady metafyziky, spojuje slovansk\u00e9 n\u00e1rody dohromady. Do realizace cyklu se mal\u00ed\u0159 pustil, a\u017e kdy\u017e sehnal mecen\u00e1\u0161e, kter\u00fd by celou pr\u00e1ci zaplatil. Potkal ho p\u0159i sv\u00e9m pobytu v Americe a jmenoval se Charles R. Crane. Crane byl neuv\u011b\u0159iteln\u011b bohat\u00fd, m\u011bl Slovany r\u00e1d a velmi dob\u0159e se znal s T. G. Masarykem. <\/span> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Kdy\u017e vzniklo samostatn\u00e9 \u010ceskoslovensko, Craneho syn Richard se stal velvyslancem Spojen\u00fdch st\u00e1t\u016f v Praze a jeho dcera Frances se provdala za Masarykova syna Jana. Crane Much\u016fv projekt \u0161t\u011bd\u0159e financoval. <\/span> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Bez jeho dolar\u016f by Slovansk\u00e1 epopej rozhodn\u011b nikdy nevznikla! <\/span> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">A byl to Crane spole\u010dn\u011b s Muchou, kte\u0159\u00ed se rozhodli, \u017ee cel\u00e9 toto d\u00edlo v\u011bnuj\u00ed Praze. Ji\u0159\u00ed Mucha, mal\u00ed\u0159\u016fv syn a d\u011bdic, napsal: \u201eSlovansk\u00e1 epopej byla od roku 1928 majetkem m\u011bsta Prahy a otec si v darovac\u00ed smlouv\u011b vym\u00ednil, \u017ee bude zve\u0159ejn\u011bna a d\u016fstojn\u011b um\u00edst\u011bna. Zapomn\u011bl pouze uv\u00e9st lh\u016ftu, ve kter\u00e9 k tomu m\u011blo doj\u00edt. A tak nebylo m\u011bsto Praha smluvn\u011b ni\u010d\u00edm v\u00e1z\u00e1no a definitivn\u00ed \u0159e\u0161en\u00ed t\u00e9to n\u00e1kladn\u00e9 ot\u00e1zky neust\u00e1le odkl\u00e1dalo&#8230;\u201c<\/span>  <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><strong>Ale kam s n\u00ed?<\/strong> <\/span> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Hlavn\u00edm d\u016fvodem rozpak\u016f od sam\u00e9ho po\u010d\u00e1tku bylo, \u017ee Much\u016fv projekt nebyl v\u016fbec p\u0159ijat jednozna\u010dn\u011b kladn\u011b. Ozvaly se \u010detn\u00e9 a d\u016frazn\u00e9 v\u00fdtky, um\u011bleck\u00e1 avantgarda byla zcela proti.<\/span>  <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">V Lidov\u00fdch novin\u00e1ch napsal v roce 1928 Josef \u010capek esej nazvan\u00fd: Kam s n\u00ed? Mimo jin\u00e9 tu uv\u00e1d\u00ed: \u201eEpopej byla vystavena ve Veletr\u017en\u00edm pal\u00e1ci, aby se vid\u011blo, jak\u00e9ho dojde ohlasu. Byl sm\u00ed\u0161en\u00fd a ne zrovna velk\u00fd; odborn\u00e1 kritika se nerozezvu\u010dela ani hlu\u010dn\u011b, ani nad\u0161en\u011b, a kde se ps\u00e1ti musilo, psalo se rozpa\u010dit\u011b. Nu\u017ee, kam nyn\u00ed s t\u00edm darem? Je to rozm\u011brn\u00e1 sb\u00edrka ohromn\u00fdch pl\u00e1ten, kter\u00e1 se tak lehce ned\u00e1 nikde rozv\u011bsit. Velk\u00fd dar, ale hodn\u011b nepohodln\u00fd, a tady se to ned\u00e1 ud\u011blat tak lehce, jako to d\u011bl\u00e1me doma, kdy\u017e se n\u00e1m n\u011bjak\u00fd dar dosti nehod\u00ed, toti\u017e \u017ee ho darujeme zase n\u011bkam d\u00e1le.\u201c <\/span> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">\u010capek byl korektn\u00ed, jin\u00ed poslali Muchu p\u0159\u00edmo k \u010dertu i s jeho slovanskou vz\u00e1jemnost\u00ed. \u201eCrane dokonce po t\u011bchto reakc\u00edch cht\u011bl, aby se Slovansk\u00e1 epopej p\u0159evezla do Ruska, ale Mucha byl rezolutn\u011b proti,\u201c tvrd\u00ed znalec d\u00edla historik um\u011bn\u00ed Karel Srp.<\/span>  <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Cyklus darovan\u00fd Praze byl pak po dlouh\u00e1 desetilet\u00ed v \u010ceskoslovensku i velmi seri\u00f3zn\u00edmi odborn\u00edky hodnocen jako \u201eopo\u017ed\u011bn\u00e9 poselstv\u00ed\u201c, p\u0159ijateln\u00e9 v 19. stolet\u00ed, ale zastaral\u00e9 v na\u0161\u00ed modern\u00ed dob\u011b. <\/span> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">\u201eEpopej je v\u0161ak siln\u00e9 d\u00edlo, kter\u00e9 p\u0159e\u017eije negativn\u00ed i p\u0159ehnan\u011b pozitivn\u00ed reakce,\u201c \u0159\u00edk\u00e1 Karel Srp a dod\u00e1v\u00e1: \u201eMucha tu p\u0159ekra\u010duje v\u0161e, co se b\u011b\u017en\u011b od um\u011bn\u00ed o\u010dek\u00e1v\u00e1. <\/span> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Svoji kari\u00e9ru za\u010d\u00ednal jako \u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u00fd autor plak\u00e1t\u016f a tam si ov\u011b\u0159il, co na lidi p\u016fsob\u00ed. Jeho epopej nen\u00ed estetick\u00e9 rozj\u00edm\u00e1n\u00ed, to je epos orientovan\u00fd na masov\u00e9ho div\u00e1ka.\u201c Mucha p\u0159esn\u011b v\u011bd\u011bl, \u010d\u00edm a jak zap\u016fsobit. Zaj\u00edmal ho p\u0159\u00edb\u011bh a osud \u010dlov\u011bka a v epopeji je \u0159ada motiv\u016f, do kter\u00fdch si lid\u00e9 mohou prom\u00edtnout svoje vlastn\u00ed pro\u017eitky a zku\u0161enosti.<\/span>  <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\"><strong>Epopej v \u00e9\u0159e P\u00e1na prsten\u016f a Avatara<\/strong> <\/span> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Za nejcenn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed b\u00fdvaj\u00ed pova\u017eov\u00e1na pl\u00e1tna, kde nejv\u00fdrazn\u011bji zazn\u011bj\u00ed ohlasy secesn\u00edho um\u011bn\u00ed. V nich se origin\u00e1ln\u011b prol\u00edn\u00e1 historick\u00fd p\u0159\u00edb\u011bh s mytologi\u00ed, dekorativn\u011b pojat\u00e1 plocha s rozm\u011brn\u00fdmi prostory a perspektivn\u00edmi zkratkami.<\/span>  <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Nicm\u00e9n\u011b pozornost si zaslou\u017e\u00ed i t\u00e9m\u011b\u0159 popisn\u00e1 historick\u00e1 l\u00ed\u010den\u00ed, nap\u0159\u00edklad bitva u Grunwaldu, p\u0159ipom\u00ednaj\u00edc\u00ed z\u00e1b\u011br z hollywoodsk\u00e9ho velkofilmu, nebo obraz um\u00edraj\u00edc\u00edho Jana Amose Komensk\u00e9ho, starce sed\u00edc\u00edho na konci \u017eivota tv\u00e1\u0159\u00ed v tv\u00e1\u0159 nekone\u010dn\u00e9mu mo\u0159i, co\u017e je z\u0159ejm\u011b rozm\u011bry nejv\u011bt\u0161\u00ed intimn\u00ed sc\u00e9na, jakou kdy kdo v d\u011bjin\u00e1ch um\u011bn\u00ed namaloval. \u201eEpopej nen\u00ed v prav\u00e9m slova smyslu historickou malbou a vzd\u00e1lena je i akademick\u00e9 tvorb\u011b. Kdy\u017e vid\u00edte, jak Mucha pracuje s lidskou figurou, s nebem, s krajinou, tak poka\u017ed\u00e9 \u0159e\u0161\u00ed n\u011bco nov\u00e9ho. V\u016fbec to nen\u00ed n\u011bjak\u00e9 konzervativn\u00ed pojet\u00ed,\u201c tvrd\u00ed Srp.<\/span>  <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">Pokud se uskute\u010dn\u00ed velkolep\u011b vyprojektovan\u00e1 v\u00fdstava Slovansk\u00e9 epopeje ve Veletr\u017en\u00edm pal\u00e1ci, bude to pro Prahu senzace. D\u00edlo p\u0159ijdou obdivovat nov\u00e9 generace, kter\u00e9 v posledn\u00ed dob\u011b mohly na velkoprostorov\u00fdch pl\u00e1tnech po n\u011bkolik let nad\u0161en\u011b obdivovat P\u00e1na prsten\u016f a Avatara. A Mucha jim nab\u00eddne v n\u011b\u010dem velmi srovnatelnou pod\u00edvanou.<\/span>  <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">PhDr. Peter Kov\u00e1\u010d<\/span> <\/em> <\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"> <em><span style=\"font-size: 10pt\">(Pr\u00e1vo.
